Portraits - Bucking the Trend

For more than forty years my main interest in photography has been formal portraiture. During this time I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of professional and amateur models as well as taking one off assignments for personal pictures. Whilst I have always, particularly as a working photographer, done all kinds of other work my main interest in capturing the personality of sitters remains my passion. Trends in photography are always changing and the current fashion for this kind of work is environmental portraiture. However I remain committed to the studio, using both natural and artificial light, to capture my subjects. This small collection of photographs is my contribution to this traditional style of portraiture. My thanks go to all the models featured together with my gratitude for their patience and hard work.
